Most Spring applications run in the cloud, but how do they get there? Can you design your Spring application for the cloud locally, getting it to the cloud, and manage it while there in the most practical way and with manageable costs?Enter Apache Brooklyn: an open-source framework for modelling, deploying, and managing the lifecycle an operation of distributed applications defined using declarative YAML blueprints. Using Apache Brooklyn when developing your Spring application, you avoid cloud costs by design and test it either on a local VM , a local Kubernetes cluster or even a Raspberry PI board. When it is ready for production, you deploy it to a public cloud of your choice with little or no changes. Spring applications can thus be designed and developed agnostically for multiple cloud providers on your own computer.Apache Brooklyn and Spring can do interesting things together, and I can't wait to share it all with you.
