At first glance, you might think Kafka is just a robust pub-sub system, but it's much more than that. With components like Kafka Connect and KafkaStreams you can build real-time data pipelines with built-in fault tolerance, high availability, and excellent performance. In this talk, you will see an overview of Kafka ecosystem components, and how can we use each of them to build data pipelines. All of this is going to be presented through a live demo.

He has 20+ years of experience in Java development, designing, and implementing solutions for various clients, mostly in the telecom industry. Kotlin fan, occasional mobile game developer, Linux user, and Kafka enthusiast. Confluent Certified Developer for Apache Kafka (CCDAK) and Certified Operator for Apache Kafka (CCOAK).
